Flannery Plant Hire is a leading provider of plant hire and specialist attachments to the construction industry across the UK and Ireland. Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a Skills Resource Co-Ordinator to work in our Training Department reporting to the MIS, Compliance & Systems Lead.
What your role will entail:
The Skills Resource Coordinator will be responsible for sourcing and coordinating candidates for the Skills Bootcamp program, updating the Management Information Systems (MIS), and collaborating with resource teams across Flannery. This role will play a critical part in ensuring that the company has a highly skilled workforce to meet its current and future needs.
Duties Include:
Skills Bootcamp Coordination:
- Source potential candidates for the Skills Bootcamp program through various channels, such as job boards, career fairs, and local partnerships.
- Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess the suitability of candidates for the program.
- Coordinate and schedule Skills Bootcamp training sessions in collaboration with the Training and Development department.
- Communicate effectively with selected candidates to provide program details and ensure their commitment.
MIS Systems Updating:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on candidates’ skills, certifications, and qualifications in the Management Information Systems (MIS).
- Regularly update data on candidate’s profiles, including training completion, competency assessments, and skill gaps.
- Collaborate with the IT department to ensure the smooth functioning and integrity of the MIS.
Resource Team Collaboration:
- Liaise with resource teams across Flannery Plant Hire to identify current and upcoming needs for skilled workers.
- Collaborate with resource teams to understand specific skill requirements for various projects and departments.
- Provide timely updates on available candidates from the Skills Bootcamp program to the resource teams.
- Support resource teams in identifying suitable candidates for project assignments, considering skills, availability, and location.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate regular reports and analyse data related to the Skills Bootcamp program, employee skills, and resource allocation.
- Identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in the skills development and resource allocation processes.
- Provide insights and recommendations to management based on data analysis to optimize workforce planning and resource allocation strategies.
- Ensure all personal data is collected, stored, and processed in line with the Data Protection Act (DPA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Company Policies

Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred but not required).
- Proven experience in recruitment, resource coordination, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HR systems and experience in working with MIS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with candidates, employees, and managers.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to generate and interpret data reports.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel) and familiarity with HR software or systems.
